Call for Papers – Paper Development Workshop (PDW)
Special Issue: Rethinking Operations and Supply Chains Management in Contemporary Challenges
Location: EAESP-FGV, São Paulo (Room TBD) & Online (Hybrid Format)
Date & Time: June 10th, 2026 | 09:00 AM – 11:30 AM (BRT)
This PDW is designed to support scholars (PhD students, junior, and senior researchers) in developing manuscripts aligned with the BAR Special Issue "Rethinking Operations and Supply Chains Management in Contemporary Challenges." Participants will receive direct feedback from the Guest Editors and senior discussants to strengthen their theoretical contributions and align their work with the SI’s scope.
Program Outline (2.5 Hours)
- Plenary Session (In-Person & Streamed):
- Editorial Opening: BAR’s positioning and editorial criteria by the Editor-in-Chief.
- Special Issue Framing: Scope and expected contributions presented by Guest Editors.
- International Keynote (Online):
- Guest Speaker: Barbara Flynn.
- Topic: “From Idea to Contribution: Building Theory-Driven OSCM Research” followed by a Q&A session.
- Hybrid Breakout Sessions:
- Selected authors will present a 5-minute pitch followed by 10 minutes of dedicated feedback from a senior discussant and open group discussion.
Submission & Deadlines
- Submission Deadline: June 1st
- Results: June 3 rd
- Workshop Date: June 10th, 2026
Submission Guidelines
- Format: Word (.doc/.docx) or PDF (.pdf).
- Length: Up to 2 pages (excluding references).
- Structure: Title, Abstract (≤250 words), Context/Rationale, Objective/Gap, Key Literature, and Expected Results/Contributions.
- Formatting: Times New Roman 12 pt, single spacing, 2.5 cm margins, A4 size.
