Personal data collected by ScholarOne as part of BAR's editorial process will be used exclusively within the interests of that process, that is, for the editorial office to interact with authors, reviewers, and editors. If manuscripts are accepted for publication, then author information (and, depending on BAR's current policies, also information about the reviewers and the editors involved with the accepted manuscripts) will be published along with the manuscripts on the journal's website and in other platforms in order to promote the journal and the published contents - for the benefit of all involved.

Other platforms include electronic and print newsletters sent to individuals registered in BAR, academic institutions, virtual social networks, indexing services, and presentations at academic and professional meetings. No personal data is forwarded to other parties for other purposes.
